analysis of examples
After writing a timed write in language arts, we often look at submitted AP examples to compare our essays and see what were our strong points and weak points. Going over these examples is a large class discussion, in which everyone has an opportunity to say what they think the paper was doing well, and what it was not doing well. This demonstrates listening skills because in order to write better, one must pay attention to the details presented in each paper, as well as the opinions of other classmates and the teacher.
